DH Lab Calls
Ask the Digital Humanities Lab for tailored tools
Since 2014, two programmers at the Digital Humanities Lab have started to offer IT support by building tools for targeted research. The first call was quite successful. The applicants are pleased with the custom software that was developed. Therefore, we decided to issue a second call. Those who are interested can apply before 15 August 2014.
Examples of applications:
-the development of a digital tool in support of current research
-the development of a digital demo for a research proposal
-the building of a website/PHP tool to disclose results of a research database
Applicants can submit the application form (one A4 only) before 15 August 2014. The application should describe:
- What problem needs to be solved by the programming job
- Why the programming job is the solution
- How urgent the problem is
- A target date
- The number of programming hours needed, and
- What programming knowledge is (presumably) required
Email José de Kruif (J.firstname.lastname@example.org) to request the application form and explanatory notes. Completed forms can also be returned to this email address. For technical advice contact José de Kruif (J.email@example.com) or Alexis Dimitriadis (firstname.lastname@example.org). We try to help as many people as possible. Therefore, we encourage small requests in line with the developments in the field of Digital Humanities.
