Software Carpentry with Python

Software Carpentry aims to help researchers get their work done in less time and with less pain by teaching them necessary research computing skills. This hands-on workshop will cover basic concepts and tools, including introductory programming, version control and collaboration on GitHub, data manipulation and task automation. Participants will be encouraged to help one another and apply what they have learned to their research problems. 

This workshop covers: 

  • Introduction to Unix Shell 
  • Version Control with Git and collaboration with GitHub 
  • Introduction to Programming and Exploratory Data Analysis in Python.
